Literacy Support Council

Have a passion for promoting the importance of reading? Want to support the improvement of reading skills for the adults in your community? Join the Literacy Support Council (LSC) of Placer County, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which provides vital assistance to the Placer Adult Literacy Service (PALS). PALS is a program of the Placer County Library that provides free, confidential, one-on-one tutoring for English-speaking adults to improve their reading skills. By sponsoring and promoting PALS, the Council seeks to help literacy-challenged adults open doors to a brighter future.
